Joanne Tall, AIA, is a founding partner of Kamen Tall Architects P.C and the director of the Westchester office. With nearly 30 years of experience,  Ms. Tall has worked on a wide breadth of architectural and design projects  ranging from furniture and woodwork design to new construction and  adaptive reuse projects. Ms.Tall leads the firm’s design projects and historic preservation efforts and is recognized for her project dedication and creative implementation of her attention to detail.

Ms. Tall has worked with a number of Westchester County and NYC residential on several full renovation and residential addition projects. At Kamen Tall Architects, Ms. Tall works closely with her clients, proving a sense of co-authorship of Architect and Owner for every project.

Ms. Tall’s care and attention in working with historic structures has won her several preservation awards for her projects in the greater New York City area including the façade restoration of the LGBT Center in Manhattan and the full restoration of the Philipse Manor Train Station in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Her work centers on her keen understanding in construction craft and a strong ability to envision solutions for historically sensitive architectural and contextual elements. From Federal, NYS and local agency submittals and coordination to on site project managing, Ms. Tall is responsible for all phases of the work process.

Ms. Tall has also served as an historic preservation advisor to the Village of Tarrytown, New York; and is currently serving as Chair of the Historic Preservation Commission for the Village of Ossining, New York.
