26 Court Street

26 Court Street, Brooklyn Heights

A 30-Story Masonry and Terra Cotta Tower at 26 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY by Architect Schwartz & Gross.

26 Court Street is a historic building located in Downtown Brooklyn within the Borough Hall Historic District. For a brief period of time, it was the tallest building in Brooklyn.

The project originally included preparation of the 8th Cycle FISP report and has since expanded to the design of a comprehensive facade repair and restoration program.

The creation of the program required unique surveying methods which included industrial rope access and photo mapping. The scope of repair work includes brick and lintel replacement, complete dismantling and re-installation of terra cotta features, general terra cotta replacement, copper mansard roof replacement, and routine facade maintenance items.
